A while ago I thought I'd teach myself how to get life out of a 6502, and learn KiCad at the same time. It worked fine on the breadboard, and when the beautiful little PCBs eventually arrived, I couldn't wait to solder it up. It didn't work. I was so downhearted about this I put it aside for months without even wanting to look at it.
Last weekend I picked it up and looked deeper into the schematic; a single track was going to the wrong pin. Patching it with a little wire fixed it. Never give up.
Getting over excited after my previous success with the 6502 (see posts passim) I decided to try my hand at PCB design. It was a steep learning curve, but eventually I ended up with some cute little boards and was very excited. Today I soldered it up, and...it doesn't work. But if science teaches us anything, it teaches us to accept our failures as well as our successes, with quiet, dignity, and grace:

00:25 - our Ring captured someone sniffing my wife's work shoes on our porch. Looks like we got ourselves a neighborhood snurgler.
TRS-80 100 used as a serial terminal to a MacBook. Both lovely machines, in totally different ways.
