New profile @FreqZero

Lost a long time friend today. A bit numb. Taking time away from posting on my normal social media outlets.

We used to chat here when the bird site started changing and a lot of my friends moved to a Mastodon instance to give it a shot.

It was a bit of a gut punch to see the messages from years ago. While it hurts, it also brought a smile to my face knowing that the internet if forever.

Much love to you @chaospet You were one of the great ones. Thank you for being you.

@mikalai Thank you for the talk! Unfortunately, I missed this one live. (virtual attendee)

Has been years since I created this account and just as long since my last post.

Attended #hope16 virtually and finally got around to following many interesting and amazing people curating my home.

I learned that this is an amazing tool as long as I keep it on my home feed. The live feeds on this instance are… interesting.

The last time I was on this instance, I was chatting with a friend. That friend is currently in hospice and nearing the end of his battle with cancer.

@Wrewdison Do you like the T-deck? Been looking at once since the newer firmware was released, but have yet to actually click the buy button.
@sedward5 Any time. Good luck!

@sedward5 It'll show up in your notifications as well under the Direct Messages tab (@)

If you are using the web interface similar to Tweetdeck, you can click the DM icon on the upper left and the far right tab should turn into the DM tab.

Your mileage may very.

@sedward5 They may appear on your "home" timeline. As long as they are also in the DM tab, the conversation should only be between you and the recipients.

@thbonk Nice! I'm sticking with my 2x11.. until it breaks. I've been eyeing the Sram Eagle ($$$) or even the Box One system as a replacement... but not necessarily an upgrade as it currently works well. For some reason, the model year of my bike has Sram on the front and Shimano in the back. Seems to work well though.

Curious to know what you go with and how you like it.
