Well, it's pretty much healed up (at least enough to not have any redness / swelling), and I'm so happy with the results. Got this done on Saturday, by Tanner at Hearts & Hands in Orem.

Symbolizes my 25 year marriage, and the 5-10 years of caregiving for my wife that I did at the end of it.

For the uninitiated, the central symbol is from Elantris, and means Love. The outer text is a slightly modified version of the Second Ideal of the Windrunners, from Stormlight Archive.

I may get a couple more eventually. I have ideas. But I'm very pleased with this as my first tattoo.

Today I received the Bridge Four pendant from Badali, and added it to my chain to hang with my wife's Aon Omi pendant.

Last night, I finished what is probably a nearly-final draft of my reference art for my first tattoo, also themed after the Cosmere.

Feeling better than I would have expected to by now... but I'm glad I do. Still much healing and growth ahead, but I'm in a good place, and able to do what my wife told me many times that she wanted: To keep going, and not let her death destroy me. I dunno about the part where she wanted me to find someone else. I'll probably just let that happen naturally if at all. I'm comfortable being a loner, at least for now.

Went out this morning for some nature therapy. Of course I took my camera with me, and grabbed this shot up at the skyline. So nice to get out into nature and just relax for a couple hours.
