Write Your LTE to Stop Donald Trump From Misusing the Insurrection Act

Despite facing four separate criminal cases with dozens of felony charges, Donald Trump is back on the campaign trail and threatening to turn the United States into a military state. This is cause for alarm: he’s suggested that if reelected President, he would take advantage of ambiguities in the (ironically named) Insurrection Act to deploy the military within Democratic cities and states – an unprecedented level of military involvement in domestic affairs. And this is on top of other extreme campaign promises, including mass deportations, a renewed Muslim ban and curtailing the rights of transgender individuals, designed to attack vulnerable minorities. We can’t give him that chance. Trump should never again be in a position where he can incite an insurrection, direct our military, or implement disastrous MAGA policies. That’s why it’s critical that we do everything in our power to ensure he loses in the 2024 Presidential election. It’s simple: we need a president who believes in upholding democracy and that’s Joe Biden, not Donald Trump.
