@diday Voll cool, dass es die Veranstaltung auch in Darmstadt gibt!
Die Snapchat Alternative @twonly, wird auch in Darmstadt entwickelt und jetzt gibt es noch einen Antrag der Koalition, dass die Stadt auch auf Mastodon kommen soll [1]. Freut mich, dass die Digitale Souveränität auch in Darmstadt seinen Weg findet 💪

Der Name „twonly“, abgeleitet von „two only“, wurde damals gewählt, weil er noch nicht existierte und eine kurze Domain dafür verfügbar war. Da er so einzigartig ist, erscheint er ganz oben in den Suchergebnissen (sowohl in Suchmaschinen als auch in Stores).
Der Name ist jedoch nicht in Stein gemeißelt, und wir sind offen für Vorschläge!👇

Da Worte wie „Sicherheitsnummer“ für nicht-technische Benutzer eher kryptisch klingen, gibt es mit dem heutigen Release eine neue Visualisierung und eine vereinfachte Terminologie, die jeder kennt: der blaue Haken, bzw. im Falle von twonly der grüne Haken. Insgesamt gibt es drei Stufen, wobei die gelbe noch in Arbeit ist :)
So far, over 20 participants have taken part in the user study [0], so here are the initial findings: Only a fraction of their contacts are verified via the QR code, even though, as Signal states in its specifications, this is crucial for cryptography [1].

@FQQD Hello :) You can do this in the app under "Settings" > "Help" > "Contact." There you can also upload your debug log, which makes troubleshooting much easier.
Registrations are disabled until I reach version 1.0.0 with a more stable and solid code base. For version 1.0.0, I want to break many things, such as
rewriting a lot in Rust and switching to MLS (Message Layer Security). Then I will also reevaluate whether I want to switch to Codeberg to simplify collaboration.
