27 year olds have seen half of the global warming so far happen in their lifetime.

The Dutch newspaper *De Volkskrant* has won the 2026 European Press Prize for its in-depth investigation into the Israeli militaryโ€™s shooting of children in Gaza.

The report revealed that numerous minors had been deliberately executed with a shot to the head.

Gunshot wounds in Palestinian children indicate targeted fire

Doctors in Gaza observed a disturbing pattern: children with a single gunshot wound to the head or chest, a sign that they had been deliberately targeted. This emerges from research by de Volkskrant, which spoke with the doctors who are among the last international eyewitnesses.

#elbsides2026 is over. I took #sketchnotes on the conference day. While this activity helps me focus in the moment and memorize a talk better, the resulting notes are also great to share. So here they are from @elbsides. Thread. ๐Ÿงต

LLMs are eroding my software engineering career and I don't know what to do https://human-in-the-loop.bearblog.dev/llms-are-eroding-my-software-engineering-career-and-i-dont-know-what-to-do/

Every model that we tested had hallucinated. There is no way LLM will do your IT job with 100% confidence. The real risk is management folks who think that LLMs can do your job and there is no cure for that stupidity and hence job loss risk is real. That is my take. How it will play out? IDK.
