I'm an IT professional who rides bikes, takes pictures, plays cello, and writes stuff. I'm a freakin' renaissance man.

For anyone who's interested, @ArtGeek is me too. Not sure which account I'll settle on. Oh, @[email protected] too. I'm even @[email protected]
I think #BlueSky may have accomplished what #Cara tried to do—create a viable alternative social network for creatives that doesn’t scrape their work to feed its own AI. Bonus: it’s not owned by a neonazi or amoral opportunist.

I'm responding to myself. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
The 5D is slightly lower resolution but a professional workhorse. I also bought a Canon L Series 100mm prime lens, which should up my portrait and macro game. Big pictures of little critters heading your way.
I have long wanted a second camera body to have multiple lenses available when taking pictures at our local Zoo (I don't say "shooting" in that context), and I finally saved up enough pennies to get myself a used Canon 5D Mark III to complement my Canon RP. Woohoo!

Oops. That would be the *west* rim trail. For those who know.
