Well, the first 50k is done. Only 70k more to write or thereabouts. The rest will go MUCH slower. 😉

A little more than 1500 words left to completely this NaNoWriMo. Every word after I hit 50k before November expires will be gravy.

Writing the past few days has been less than stellar. But, I'm still pushing the words out and following the rough outline I set up. Once I hit that 50k, I'll tweak the outline some to accommodate changes that have crept into the story as I've made decisions.

I'm trying not to laugh. Here's a reminder that NFT's are nothing but a huge scam designed to solve problems already solved by better, more usable, less environmentally damaging means. Solutions like... paper.

A lot of talk about Hive social media app lately. But I see two problems:

1. It's mobile only.

That's bad for those with accessibility issues, as well as for those who want better control over their online experience & privacy.

2. It's funded by venture capitalists.

Vulture capitalism is a blight that leads to abuses. The only concern of these people are "how much can we extract from users?" Things like ethics or proper content moderation take a back seat to profits. See: twitter
