Chances are the Tories are now slowly edging towards joining the Single Market in an attempt to undo their catastrophic mini budget, but they can’t admit it for fear of boosting Labour further in the polls, whereas Labour won’t admit it’s the right thing to do for fear of losing their position in the polls, and in the meantime everyone suffers, a lot, badly.
