Now ABBA always had some Schalgery songs, but on Arrival it's just too much.

The closing track, for example, is some serious Schlager shit you can only listen to when you're intoxinated. I am not, so that's a no no for me.

With their 4th studio album, Arrival, ABBA became global stars. Which makes sense since the album is very polished pop music. The experiments are gone.
And why I am still enjoying this uplifting disco music, I miss the "odd" ones.

There's a lot of foreshadowing in their songs, like if they knew they'd all split up rather sooner than later.

Anyways, I absolutely love the sound of the bass on their albums. It's such a distinct 70s bass that sounds even better on vintage speakers. At least that's what I could imagine.
