What’s the course like? It’s one I’m hoping I might get to try at some point this year.
Not posted about #parkrun much recently but I’ve been plodding on. This week saw me back at Colchester Castle. 4th time there, 4th different route. I feel like my new challenge is how many times I can do it without doing a route more than once.
Never mind the gold medal winner, the athlete in last place at the Olympics 10k beat my #parkrun 5k time this morning 🤣
Gah! I know I said I’d never make it again because it takes so long to dye and fix each skein four times but I did it anyway as a special for @thewoolmontyshow because I know there are folk who missed out previously. I think this colourway is a little magical as it seems to bring in folk who maybe wouldn’t normally buy luxury yarn and that’s really nice.

Timekeeping at #parkrun this morning, gaining me my 25th volunteer credit.

First time running at #parkrun for 5 weeks (2 weeks off with being ill, then two weeks walking while recovering). After that sort of break it was no surprise that I couldn’t run the whole thing, but I managed to run the first lap slowly (about 2km) so overall quite please. Could have been better, definitely could have been worse, but good to be getting back into it properly.

In Chelmsford for a day of #parkrun followed by county cricket (Essex v Lancs). In a parkrun first for me, they’d run out of finish tokens by the time I was done (more than 800 people, and I walked the route. I also discovered they run a triple funnel, though I didn’t get to experience it personally as it was no longer necessary by that point). Wish the weather had been a bit warmer but a lovely day nonetheless.
Back at #parkrun after missing two weeks through illness. First exercise in weeks so decided to be cautious and walk. Lovely day, and great to be back - I’ve missed it!
No #parkrun for me today thanks to a horrid cold, so I am living vicariously through your toots. Hope if you were parkrunning today (including all the volunteer roles) you had a great morning.
