There's no such thing as plastic recycling.

I know it's hard to come up terms with. But there simply is no such thing. That's trash. Not recycling. Internalize that and stop buying trash you don't need

Der Winter verschwindet

Bolivien und Paraguay hatten letzte Woche bis zu 39C, Chile sogar 40C. In den Anden. Im Winter.
Alleine dieses Jahr gab es bereits 10 Hitzewellen, normal wären 5 gewesen. Beinahe unnötig zu erwähnen, dass alle bisherigen Rekorde um Längen übertroffen wurden.

Nochmal: 3,2 Kilometer Autobahn durch Berlin, die niemand haben will, kosten 700 Millionen Euro mindestens. Das gleiche Ministerium, das diesen Asphalt-Irrsinn finanziert, ist in Deutschland für die Digitalisierung zuständig (niemand weiß warum, mutmaßlich wegen irgendwas mit 'Datenautobahn') und cancelt mal eben das Onlinezugangsgesetz, weil dafür 300 Millionen fehlen. Wer wählt eigentlich eine Partei, die derart destruktive Politik praktiziert?

I’m at Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. We have 4 transmitters left to deploy in common eider, after deploying 8 in red-throated and Pacific loons and 7 in eiders. Sea ice and fog have hampered capture efforts all day but cleared up tonight. Gonna be a long night but I’m optimistic that we’ll complete all the surgeries.
