Snow, Ice & Quartzite โ๏ธ
Quite a refreshing change of conditions up Trullenuer/Frenchmans Cap, Lutruwita/Tasmania. Accompanied by the blasting snow, crackle of ice and white silence.
Rock details of the Takayna / Tarkine coast, Tasmania.
Scorched leaves on charred, blackened earth of Takayna, where over 80,000 hectares has burnt in recent months.
Fire has shaped Takayna over millennia, through cultural practices and natural burns, but with changes in climate and the rapid increase of dry lighting, fires are igniting more regularly and burning deeper into landscapes previously unbeknown to the growing inferno. This increase in intensity will certainly lead to ecological devastation as we continue deeper through the anthropocene.
Wishing for cool damp days and the return of rainfall among the storms in Lutruwita/Tasmania๐ฟ
