Today I hiked above Welschnofen / Nova Levante, up to Taltbichl (Montalto di Nova). The Latemar massif dominated the view, with snow still lining the upper rock faces.

“Shoreline and Trees, Morning” — Warm morning backlight on trees along the shore of a subalpine Sierra Nevada lake.

This will be one of (but perhaps not quite the) last photographs I’ll share for now from my July backpack trip. A group of us went into the Eastern Sierra Nevada just outside of the northeast boundary of Yosemite National Park. sWe did a low-mileage four-day trip, which left me with plenty of morning and evening time for photography. Jo, läuft nun. Aber was mache ich jetzt damit? Keine Ahnung.

Hintergrund. Ich bastel momentan mit Alpine Linux auf dem Raspberry Pi herum. Dinge, welche mit Rasbpian mit Leichtigkeit zu erreichen sind, erweisen sich auf Alpine als mittelschwerer Akt. Was nun läuft:
- fertig konfiguriertes Alpine Linux, welches aber brav bei jedem Boot die WLAN Zugangsdaten aus dem Rootverzeichnis zieht.
- gleiches, aber mit #virtualhere , somit ein kabelloser USB-Anschluß.
- USB-Terminal-Konsole

Nutzlast der jeweiligen Images um die 75 MB. Laufen alle im RAM. Speicherkarte wird also geschont und kann sogar im laufenden Betrieb abgezogen werden.

Ich hätte auch Socken stricken können. Wäre mir schwerer gefallen. #basteln #raspberrypi #alpine

Last weekend I headed up to the Zinkenkopf above Hallein. Unfortunately there was no snow left - despite the snow cannons. This view is looking toward the Salzburger Hochthron, while the valleys below were completely filled with fog.

Uh, the next release of #postmarketOS is out, lots of nice things, but the most important one (to me) is that it now includes the #Alpine release 23, that has #KDEvelop, so there now is an IDE when using it on a chromebook.
(not that setting #Neovim up as a full IDE was not a fun experience)
