I worked at a music store that used a #Kaypro 10. I knew nothing about it but they hired me for data entry. I asked about a pile of disks that was collection dist and they said they didn't care if I took them. So I acquired C/PM SBasic, CBasic, some word processors, spreadsheet software and more.

Computers went downhill after the #C128 #Commodore128

What's on my mind? The #Commodore128 that's what. One of the best computers ever made. I got mine in HS and took it with me to college. I used to write my papers, spreadsheets for Physics, #SkyTravel to track the moon for Astronomy class when there were clouds. For a computer science class we were programming in Pascal. I found that there was a version for the Commodore 128. I was able to do my work at home instead of on the VAX with little modification.
@vingtroiseize I had one when I was in junior high. Loved it. I programmed it to keep track of my paper route customers. Then I moved up to a C128.

@Zenbuffy We just canceled most of ours. Too expensive and also too many choices. Took forever to even find something to watch. I spend more time reading and writing now.
@paradroyd When I was in high school in the 80s we had a computer lab filled with TRS-80 model IIIs and then later a few model 4s. I loved them. At the time most kids really didn't see the use for computers except us who had C64s or Vic20s at home playing games and learning programming. I love retro computers.
@StooCambridge I had two and 4 of the regular #Cybiko units. I used to play games on them, read books and use as a cheap palm pilot. Ahead of their time I think and tech was advancing at break neck speed then. I also had several Video Now units and a Juice box player. Those were pretty much dead on arival.
@48kRAM I had a NEC PC8201 and a Model 102 with the big disk/video interface box. I wish I never got ride of them. Always wanted the Epson PX-8 and a Model 600.
@48kRAM I still have my Tandy WP-2 I bought about 24 years ago. I just hooked it up to my iMac with a USB to Serial cable and it uploads files to it like nobody's business.
