BryanI purchased this #Kaypro 2 CP/M computer from a fellow student when I was in college (and hauled it home on my #stegosaurus) with the caveat that if I didn't need it, it would be returned to him.
Well, I don't need it.
It's had some failures over the years. Most I was able to fix, but now it has an issue in the #display circuitry, and I don't have the necessary tools left to troubleshoot it.
The owner was happy to take it home, however, and I'm happy it went home.

I asked about a pile of disks that was collection dist and they said they didn't care if I took them. So I acquired C/PM SBasic, CBasic, some word processors, spreadsheet software and more.

Son of a SailorZilog is retiring the #Z80 CPU after 48 (!) years. I had no idea it was still in production. This was the first processor I learned to code on (via a Timex Sinclair #ZX81), and used later on Intertec (no one remembers this brand) and #Kaypro computers. Ah, the good old days of non-segmented RAM and memory-mapped video. 🤓
