👋 Hey, I‘m Thomas. I design + code digital things, especially if they can run in a web browser and use more than two dimensions. Also check out my side project 🌐 https://www.mokk.app/

Dynamic number of segments based on the width of the border radius

Using everything #blender3d has to overcome some of the current limitations of geometry nodes (bevel node when?). Custom properties, drivers, modifiers — all powerful tools. Need to check how to control drivers with python next

Ok this is neat. By using custom properties on an empty and drivers I can very easily control the color of the model over many different materials (including modifying saturation, mix with another color or any other modification really)

Damit die Briefwahlunterlagen noch rechtzeitig ankommen, müssen diese in die blauen Briefkästen eingeworfen werden, die überall extra aufgestellt wurden!

Modeling done 💪

✅ Port done (not going to bother modeling the inside).

Base shape with 4 vertices, rounded with a bevel modifier which is extruded with a profile curve via geometry nodes. The uneven taper I did with a mesh deform modifier. The same base shape is reused to create a cutter for the frame. As procedural as it get's I guess 😅

More progress on the iPhone model. Port and backside is missing than I guess it's time for materials :) #b3d #blender

iPhone modeling in blender, trying to keep most of it procedural with geometry nodes and modifiers. It's a pretty powerful workflow and works good so far (a lot of try and error though, but this only gets better with time)

Always such a nice experience to debug gitlab-pipelines 🤷‍♂️

Behold my very, very professional rain sensor. After a surprise rainfall a few weeks ago got part of my desk wet through the open window, this buddy connected to #homeassistant will wake me up next time.
