The nice thing about working on my own #audioplugins on Linux, is that whenever I find something that does not have a decent option yet, It provides an opportunity for me to fill that spot. The downside is that projects sometimes get pushed for another one takes priority..... Welp, I will have a bunch of stuff to finish up now.
I have some things brewing and it would be useful for me to iterate a little and smack together a smaller scope of the new Sampling engine + Instruments I am working on. What would all of you prefer?

Early Supporter Plugin, cheap, unique sounds

@nielso @mosgaard Yeah its not fully plug and play yet, and there is some management to do. But In my experience that is just Dante in general. So far have used the Pipewire implementation and the aes67-deamon project successfully at 2 venues before (one time for multi-track recording, one time for a stage monitor solution). Its still a bit hacky but completely usable if you take the prep time.
@nielso @mosgaard I can also recommend looking into the native Pipewire support for AES67. Have been able to make it work with a couple of Dante devices before. Pretty neat!
Its good to see there are a couple of projects doing the work, each with a slightly different approach.
@mosgaard Ah makes sense! I personally have an old macbook specifically for this kind of stuff. Easy to find one for a couple of hundred bucks second hand (especially the last intel series are great)
@mosgaard In that case I would just use another native solution. Wine and audio has too much jumping through hoops and risks for me.
@mosgaard Just wondering, Any specific reason why you are not running the Native Linux version? Been quite decent the couple of times I have used it. Id rather avoid wine for anything audio personally.
Almost at the end of 'Project April', can't wait to show all of you what I have been up to! #DIY #Instrument #audioplugin
@mosgaard Unfortunately can't help you with that, but I will say that one of my favorite compositions of all time is still Rachmaninoff's Prelude in C Sharp Minor (Op. 3 No. 2). I always love to play that for people who are not well versed in classical and it getting their attention. Especially for Metal fans haha!
@dreamer I am aware, as both user and occasional contributor to DPF. I did build my own framework (mostly for the UI side), but on top of DPF. Not all my algorithms would be ideal on armhf though, hence looking into not supporting that.
