@ChrisFerguson badges do add lots of different ways to play. I heard in the remake that they re-did some badges also.
I beat TTYD about 4 years ago now... so I think I'm about ready to replay it. With both so fresh in the mind, I'd have to give my opinion at that point. But I agree with you
