@[email protected] and I are ready! Holy cow! We started this journey many years ago. Found out I had Cystic Fibrosis and couldn’t make a baby the old fashioned way. Went through 6 rounds of IVF. And now here we are at Northwestern to have a baby today!

Final ultrasound before Logan or Zelda arrives next week (or sooner if they’re in a hurry). I have a cystic fibrosis related disorder that caused congenital absence of the vas deferens, so we conceived via IVF, which I did not learn until my 40s. After 6 rounds of IVF and 6 attempted pregnancies, Anna proved she’s the toughest person I know. I’m equal parts excited and nervous to meet this little one.

We are at the "IS IT HAPPENING" phase of the pregnancy. Anna wanted to go get snacks for the eventual hospital stay. We are not starting off on a healthy diet.
