Views of the base, and closer views of a couple of the weapons, of the Helbrute / Chaos Dreadnought conversion.
In order to have swappable weapons the default weapon of the model had to be cut off and then rebuilt and magnetised.
This multimelta had some sculpted fleshy bits and an extra armour plate added.
The Reaper autocannon, however, is completely scratchbuilt, mostly in plasticard.

Not bad for an hour's painting; I think I can speed up the process for later models now that i've got it practiced a bit, too.
Assembled models on bases were spray primed black and left to dry overnight. "Glowy" spaces were then brush painted white and allowed to dry, then painted in yellow fluorescent paint and immediately covered in a green wash. 5/11 ops now. Mighta got more out if I’d not amused myself as much with the slasha, who is sporting the outline of a Monaghan GAA jersey, blue jeans, and brown shoes. He’s also got a suspicious looking keg strapped to his back and a pipe leading to his mask. Note his throwing knife attached too. Other moment of self amusement is the yellow hard hat for the breacha. Safety before stealth. 😂

Upon entering the main convention hall, we were immediately greeted with a fantastic diorama of The Dropsite Massacre.
I can't deny that seeing an amazing scene set up like this really has me *really* wanting to actually take the full dive into 30k. 😋

My second opponent in the narrative was a super friendly and excited fellow playing a VERY fluffy list with his own custom chapter. (I forgot the name. I'm so sorry dude. D: )
His force is a successor of the "Steel Confessors", a Mechanicus made chapter using the Iron Hands geneseed.
He put a lot of love into customizing his minis, and designing his list around the fluff of how they fight. It was a real treat to see!
