Real Estate started their set last night with a cover of “Anything Can Happen” in what must have been a hat tip to Hamish. They also said they played it at their very first show.

Their albums are a calming place for me to retire to (like a reclining chair on a manicured suburban NJ lawn?) in what has been an otherwise hectic and crazy decade. They were great last night at a new club called Racket in Manhattan. Hat tip to the Clean cover to start the set (in honor of Hamish I assume)."

Finished putting presents out for my daughter and then listened to Shufflemania and then to this one. I’ve been listening to him for 35 years (thanks 120 Minutes and “Balloon Man”). I often refer to Robyn as my psychic father (sorry dad!). I can only sorta relate to 12ish year old me listening to this (on cassette! still have it!) but goddamn so good. Little me had good taste! Can’t wait to see him live in April. #robynhitchcock
I’m a huge Lemonheads fan. I saw Evan play solo at WFMU like four years ago and he was the highest I have ever seen someone on stage. Totally depressing. Last night (with band) was much better - still sloppy (as it’s supposed to be) but really good.

Saw these guys last month at a tiny place in Austin as part of the Levitation fest. My partner saw them at Roadburn and said I had to see them. She did not lead me astray. One of the most #intense things I’ve seen all year. Heavy heavy #psych from France, missing much of the metal tropes I find annoying.
