@evacide here is my delightful feline friend, who I'm taking care of for another month or so.

Thanks for doing jury duty on a horrible case.

@evacide “to keep your coffee warm, daddy!”

@evacide

Our NGO is stopping the cycle of domestic violence. We teach adolescents about healthy relationships through free prosocial video games. Over a million helped so far. It is making a difference.

@evacide Just found a new species of in insect in the yard we garden to support native insects. Had a great day with friends and neighbors and a fellow running for city council who I'm super excited about. The sunset is real pretty right now.

Be well. <3

I have spent this week as a juror criminal domestic violence trial and my head is full of horrors. Tell me what's good.
Today was a good day.
Even though I had a terrible time finding the college classroom to attend my dunes wildflower class. My daughter saved me because she was born with a good sense of direction and I wasn't. She found me and the class before I was late. The presenter was excellent and I recognized all of the plants she referenced. Now I can put names to flora on our beach walks.
Afterwards we walked the dunes and oohed and awwed with our new knowledge in our pocket. My daughter already knew the plants by name but learned a few new things.
Summer forgave me for leaving her at home. I knew she would.
Tomorrow I will get her out for an early walk like I promised.
This evening we are enjoying a view that isn't totally obscured by fog for the first time in weeks.
How lucky we are.

I am really enjoying reading The Care of Things. I am barely 100 pages in and my brain is fizzing, I have taken so many notes, and am connecting so many disparate ideas to one another. Excellent book. So glad I asked my local library to get a copy.
