Cancelling plans is okay. Putting yourself first is okay. Going for a long walk is okay. Abandoning society is okay. Moving into a cave with a family of raccoons is okay. Giving them tiny swords & shields is okay. Do what you need to do to cope.

The model of Amazon (and Google, as noted) of voice assistants being there, not to make money from the devices, but to make money from ads and products purchased ... isn't working, and that's not altogether surprising.

We use our Google Home to control smart devices, call up music, and, honestly, as a kitchen timer.

I really have no desire to order things from Amazon by voice. #tech

I still have a hard time imposing these boundaries, but I'm slowly getting better.

Getting used to setting boundaries is an ongoing process, they grow and change with time and life circumstances.

No one's perfect, don't beat yourself up for not getting it right, you'll get there eventually. Better yet, hopefully in the process, you'll find people who appreciate you and respect your boundaries. You deserve better!  #mentalhealth
