I make things with Ruby and Docker; when I'm not busy being a husband, father, or trying to learn something new.

@collin I had a very similar situation. I had a single mother raising me and my siblings, so my uncle and grandparents were involved in raising us. Growing up they'd always say I'd amount to nothing always "playing around on the computer". Mind you I was learning to program and not playing games,. But they're a blue collar family and highly discouraged and frowned upon me taking an intellectual path through life.

@davetron5000 What printer and/or brand are you having issues with? I use Brother printers with my mac(s) and generally have no issues.

Is there something complex you're trying to print like a LATEX formula or something that its breaking on?

@Ryanbigg Making sure to get cascading factories under control. That way factories aren't taking up a HUGE amount of the time when tests are being ran.
@stevediaconou I like it, being inline like typescript seems a lot more natural than a separate signature file like RBS. (I understand why they did it for backward compatibility though).

Happy Birthday Aaron!

I'm very much considering it as well. The company I work for is based out of SD. I'm just waiting to see if they'll approve any expenses for me to do an in-person and attend the conference or if it'll be on my own dime.

@Schneems I’m sorry there’s so many toxic people responding to your posts. Obviously the narcissists and hateful people are the loudest and most toxic aspect part of the Reddit protest.

@bolen

/u/spez is turning Reddit into an absolute shit hole, he’s looking for that big payload. And the value of Reddit comes from its content.

This makes me curious and wonder if users could classify this as a GDPR Violation (Article 17 & 19) which refers to the right of the user to delete and remove their data from said services. I’m sure there’s so many loopholes it wouldn’t be worth it for the average user to pursue it though.

@thomasfuchs

I wasted years playing Diablo and Diablo II. And with D3 everything seemed to just go went downhill. I was excited for the mobile version of Diablo and it was a big disappointment and a big money grab. I don't even want to try D4

As one of the mods of /r/rubyonrails (which is much smaller than /r/rails) I can definitely say we've seen the same activity. Tons of users requesting access to the the sub yet a large amount of the accounts are 1-2 years old with 1 karma. I can't really tell if its luckers or bot accounts.
