The reddit strike appears to be continuing. I guess it's good news that /r/ruby keeps getting messages from people wanting to join, implying the community is still growing. Although, I find it slightly suspicious that some of these new users claim to be professional Rails devs with years of experience, but just now decided to join /r/ruby? Paranoid me kind of suspects this might be a tactic by Reddit mgmt to weaken the strike.

@postmodern

As one of the mods of /r/rubyonrails (which is much smaller than /r/rails) I can definitely say we've seen the same activity. Tons of users requesting access to the the sub yet a large amount of the accounts are 1-2 years old with 1 karma. I can't really tell if its luckers or bot accounts.
