TIL (at 4:30am) about the album Switched On Bach by Wendy Carlos. Released in 1968 and working closely with Moog it went platinum and seems to be regarded as one of the first introductions people would have had to synthesizers.

Remember the "One Laptop Per Child" project, that developed a low-cost computer for children in developing countries? I was always amazed by a certain feature: The "View Source" button.

When you pressed it, the source code for the currently running application would open. This was supposed to encourage tinkering with the software on your device! <3

I've been pondering what it would take to build that button on modern machines. Has anyone seen something like that?

@joeycastillo @pho4cexa agreed, we're past the stage where you can dismiss AI the grounds that it produces garbage output. Still have qualms and concerns but... Yeah
@joeycastillo this matches my experience though, opus 4.6 produces pretty good code across a wide range of languages
@joeycastillo that seems like a very hard bug to find but c/embedded isn't my main expertise so I'm not a perfect judge
