That's really resonating with me.
I feel a bit scattered by 100 crises in all directions & feeling very small in the face of it all.
But what if I think about just one highly specific area where *I* can be helpful?

Listening to a podcast dealing with <waves hand at all this politics & news> and a guest mentioned their father pointing out how using a chisel (in woodworking, stay with me) takes all the strength of your arm, and focuses it on the razor edge of the tool & that's why it works; lots of energy focused into a narrow purpose.
And the likened that to how we can be effective in a climate where we face battles from all directions: choose one narrow area where *you* can be effective & help.
Back in those SNES days I remember making a paper board game version of the original Mario Kart. 😎 When we later bought the N64 we sold the SNES & all its games which fully funded the next system's purchase.
We don't sell the old ones anymore. But man those are good memories - begging my parents for extra chores to earn extra money.
Even though we're planning the #Switch2 for Xmas... I think it's important that the kids contribute & feel ownership too.
The kids built our #Lego piggy bank to start saving up for the #Switch2. I remember doing this for my first console as a kid - the SNES.
Toss in those spare loonies & twoonies this summer. 😁
My son lost his cheap digital watch somewhere in the house.
But! It has an alarm set on it. But we weren't sure of when. The beep is so high pitch though that it's hard to geolocate where it's coming from.
So for a while we were just trying to remember to notice the alarm at all & make note of the time. Got it! 6pm.
Then for several days we had another alarm set on my phone, to remind us to go sit in another room & wait to hear the watch alarm & try to get closer.
Found behind a dresser. 😅
