#Bazel 6.0 was just released!

I spent some time (okay, a lot of time) reviewing all of the commits since Bazel 5.4, and wrote up a blog post summarizing the ones I found interesting: https://brentley.dev/whats-new-in-bazel-6.0/

Just tried ChatGPT. I asked it a series of specific Qs about areas I've studied in detail.

On all Qs, it gave answers that are plausible sounding but wrong. Not obviously wrong: wrong in subtle ways that need deep domain knowledge to grasp.

The ways humans will be practically misled by this kind of tech if trusted with, say, doling out medical, legal or business advice is horrific.

Letting this tech loose on the world will further destroy search engines that are already riddled with SEO BS.

I chose this opportunity to transition to "tabs-free" mode… because tabs are, let's be honest, productivity killers when you use a lot keyboard shortcuts!

On the birdside/site, my following was not as diverse as I wanted it to be. Here I don't know any tools to check, yet I want to actively work on a more diverse group right from the start:

- more women
- more non western people
- more BIPOC
- more neurodiversity
(in agile, tech, etc)

Will you boost this so I can find more of these people?
