Goodbye Felicia. Longest I’ve ever subbed to anything, got DVDs in the mail. Almost everything I have is behind VPNs and on top of that I live in multiple cities. It feels like that moment when you’re suddenly serene about ending a LTR. That’s ok. I’ve got an awful lot of terabytes of storage, a fiber connection and poweredge servers in my basement.

@rose hey can I ask you a question? You're running your own instance and I'm pretty damn sure you're not using Amazon SES for relay but since mastodon needs smtp and self hosted SMTP has been killed by filter rules, what do you suggest?

Hi so greetings #birdsite refugees. Welcome. This is not #Twitter. If you give it a chance I think you will like it better than that, but it is different and you need to treat it different.
This is the #greatmigration part seventeen… Please leave the toxicity at the door. Yeah I know you grew a skin over there but it's truly not needed here. This place is truly what you make of it. There's no endless scroll drama feed. No algorithms. You chose what’s here, so choose wisely.
My suggestion? Curate a new feed. Don’t just re-follow everyone from over there here. Stay there but move on also. We all had some great memories there, but that’s over now.
Recreate your feed.
Follow old friends but pick new ones too.
Isn’t it exciting? It’s like if you were among the first new tweets when MySpace was dying. How cool is that?
