Put together a workflow to turn a digital elevation model into a #3D-printable model. It downloads #Copernicus #DEM #GeoTiff|s, processes them with GDAL/Python, and outputs an STL. A bit experimental, but the source is available here: https://codeberg.org/stroebjo/dem-to-stl

Gibt es irgendwo einen Fachartikel, der darlegt wie inadäquat die existierenden Projektförderungsstrukturen sind für den Aufbau und Betrieb einer zukunftsfähigen verteilten technischen Infrastruktur für Wissenschaft und Bildung? Wie wir es nicht schaffen, gemeinsam und konstant Tooling und Standards für die technische Infrastruktur aufzubauen und zu pflegen? Wie stattdessen regelmäßig an verschiedenen Orten dassselbe neu und etwas anders gebaut wird? Wieviel davon wie schnell obsolet wird?

#Django|s default of localizing all numbers and dates in templates is so irritating, a conscious opt-in to localize where needed would feel more natural to me. If I get this correctly, there was a `USE_I10N` setting to do this, which is now removed. Is wrapping the hole base template with `{% localize off %}` an acceptable workaround to this?

I have no idea what triggers this bug. In this recent forum thread [0] other people have the same issue, and seem to connect it to Sonoma. Though I'm pretty sure I noticed the issue since Apple Silicon Macs. This StackOverflow question [1] from 2015 describes the same odd behavior and connects it to Photoshop running.

Even though everything is still clickable and working, this phenomenon is so irritating and annoying…

Has anyone else the problem of the mouse #cursor in #macOS sometimes not switching to its appropriate icon (like pointer/text/etc.)? It affects all browsers. I also noticed it in VS Code. Sometimes the correct cursor appears for a millisecond before it switches back to the default. Only fix seems to log out/reboot, or sometimes it also just stops after a while.
