@siracusa Except they're still calling the efficiency cores in the M5 "efficiency cores". Does this mean the M5 Pro and Max actually have a different "intermediate core" design that sits between "super" and “efficiency"?

@caseyliss I have to say I have found macOS's SMB stack getting worse and worse over recent years. I suspect a lot of problems might be solved by moving Plex entirely onto the Synology, though I realize that might involve having to replace the Synology with a newer one that has a chipset that supports hardware accelerated transcoding. But given all the headaches I've had in my work recently with trying to use Macs in "server-like" capacities where storage is accessed over SMB… I don't envy you.

@caseyliss I don't love Infuse's UI, but it's the only thing that will smoothly play back 4K UHD Blu-ray rips on my Apple TV. Plex's player app chokes on them for no good reason, but I stick to Plex on the server side. Since I'm the only one who uses the system, I don't have to worry about ease of use, though I know that's a another strike in a full family household.

@gedeonm @agiletortoise @tvaziri Yeah, this is definitely not using local AI, these are record label-submitted animations. Blame the rightsholders for making bad animated art, not Apple for giving artists the option of submitting animated art.
