@Toxic_Flange oh, this won't run on my Mac SE, which is a 68000.
@Toxic_Flange yes but it has no hard drive or internet. I need to check the caps, too.

My public domain fence is now complete. 280 linear feet of 8-foot high fencing. The images are 18x24" and 24x36." The QR codes are 6x6. There are 236 images. All of them are public domain from Library of Congress or Smithsonian. The QR codes brings you to the original hires images and metadata.

Puts new meaning into the term "walled garden."

@Toxic_Flange was going to ask if saw that humble bundle but then realized I saw it because you boosted it! The bunnie huang book is really good
was it not immediately obvious that mastodon deployments would follow a paretto distribution on size? local timeline is a draw factor and "decentralized" is a non goal for evidently not just a plurality but overwhelming majority of users so the notion that instances should "spill" users is nonsensical even disregarding differences in federated performance, privacy and moderation! https://mathstodon.xyz/@manlius/109383027753990134

Attached: 1 image Again, a quick and dirty analysis, but if I have no bugs then the 1% largest #Mastodon instances accounts for 84% of all users. The top 5% accounts for 97% of all users. We can say that the system is effectively centralizing around a few instances, and this might be a problem for the overall stability and sustainability. @[email protected] @[email protected] @[email protected] @[email protected] @[email protected] @[email protected] #MastoStat #ComplexSystems

I did it! I wrote up about my experience this week setting up a Grafana dashboard for my weather station. It turned into quite a lengthy post, but I hope you'll give it a skim. I added lots of pretty pictures to keep it interesting.

How I turned a cheap weather station (and a whole lot of things I already own) into a personal DevOps-style weather dashboard

Home Assistant, Docker, InfluxDB, Grafana and some amateur RF processing combine to create a fascinating view of my local weather.

@buzz we were razzed about this when we joined google. “Top posting is evil and your service doesn’t even have an@option to bottom post!”

Aww yeah the Liquid Types folks (few of whom I can find on the fedi yet, sadly) have started hacking Rust also

@thorn I think putting that directly on a resume cover letter might go a long way.
@nelson I forget we have it until Thanksgiving.
