Good morning ☕️

I joined a C++ Udemy course. A lot of it is review but I need the refresher before trying Unreal Engine. Idk what #GameDev I will have time for outside of class. Updating all existing mods by graduation is a good long-term goal (1.5 years).

My life right now is gaming fragmented by uni, watching a show fragmented by stubs, on socials fragmented by the Klept. Think I'm ready for some holiday cheer.

Players spend stat points and skill points when starting a game, yet the idea of spending currency to choose starting equipment is rare. Here's a city map with stores marked. Here's a wallet. Go ham. No two players will gear up the same way (until one discovers a meta).

Dex is waiting in the limo. Jackie and Misty are brushing auras. Johnny isn't in my head yet. Feels subversive to roam and enjoy this part of the game without rushing into doom and gloom.

#GameDev: It's ok for players to start a new game with cash and resources. Might even match their backstory. Rags to riches is a tired trope and is partly why alt start mods are popular.

Starting a new modded Nomad playthrough (#Cyberpunk2077). Chop Shops is interesting, especially since Dakota's garage is one of the places to "recycle abandoned cars" for cash, which I will use to purchase clothing in my "Treads to Threads" routine.

Chose this game because I want to be super casual today, maybe tinker with mods and watch a show too. Less commitment than planning a village around seasons or building for settlers.

Yesterday I powered through a full day of project design instead of taking a break. I'm so far ahead now in this semester that today is a day off. Going to play #Cyberpunk2077 🥳

I panicked and unfollowed some people when I just wanted to limit their flood on my timeline. Now that I've found the "mute for x days" and "turn off boosts" options I hope to find them again.

Trying to throttle people who post too much when most post too little is a mood.

Working on this semester's last ArcGIS Pro exercise (where best to plant grapes in a vineyard). Here an aerial photo is color coded to find south facing areas for best sunlight. The next steps are to filter to slopes less than 14 degrees (for machine harvesting) and run a topography analysis to ensure that nearby hills don't cast shade over the crop. This is one of my favorite exercises because it shows how #GIS can be used to plan. Also shares shadow analysis with #UrbanPlanning and #GameDev .
