We backed up Spotify (metadata and music files). Itās distributed in bulk torrents (~300TB). Itās the worldās first āpreservation archiveā for music which is fully open (meaning it can easily be mirrored by anyone with enough disk space), with 86 million music files, representing around 99.6% of listens.

@cari seriously! ten to twenty years ago I wrote a somewhat sophisticated game engine (in C, but with bindings for a bunch of different scripting languages, so sample and demo code for those as well) using Jed! that old timey emacs-lite command-line editor. if my business software wasnāt already written in C#, I would not choose this again. feeling oddly locked into this world, itās not good. where did we (not you and me, just, everything) go wrong!
