Hi, I have moved to @steakscience

@eisfunke
Hi Nicolas,

I'm interested in joining inductive.space, it seems like a great community of people in the same topics as I do.

From reading the rules, I have some questions about #6 (crosspost accounts).

I want to be able to follow my friends using something like bird.makeup. This should be ok right? It would not spam the server in any way.

Thanks!

I want to use Mastodon more seriously, but to do so I need to use Twitter bridges like bird.makeup.

However, my instance does not allow this. Any recommended instances?

Hei Ilmari,

I read that you taught the FINN courses at UW. What resources or materials did you find were the most successful for new students? Were FINN 101 students instantly jumping into textbooks like Suomen Mestari?

Thank you!

From @tzimmer_history:

“Here is what actually happened in class: We had a calm, nuanced, and deeply serious discussion. That’ it. That’s the everyday normal on college campuses. But if you read the nation’s major newspapers and political magazines, you would not know that.”

I teach college too, and I am here to say: 💯 College students are so, so much better at having a thoughtful discussion about difficult issues than most of the people covering them in the press.

What's the best way to find accounts to follow?
@stammy Now that Apple Silicon exists, do you still use the Lightroom PC?
One thing Mastodon doesn't do well is discovery. Suggest me people to follow please. My feed is barren.

@skuwamoto I hope this is the right place for this :D

There are countless Figma support threads on this kind of issue without any resolution.

Basically, sometimes, there are components that refuse to be updated.

It seems that Figma thinks some elements are still there, but they can't be updated because they're "not an instance"

Anyways, happy holidays, sorry for sending this now.
