Retired PNW research scientist. Over 30 years at our medical school, now back for more (cause I missed work, go figure). Interested in truth in all its many permutations, especially that captured by a good photo. Grateful to kin both birth and found for challenge and perspective within which I can structure a life. Asked my wife to marry me the day it became legal, by text to France where she was traveling.

My co-workers and I were taking the back way into Flagstaff from a job site at the end of the day and pulled off the road to stargaze. I forgot my tripod at the hotel, so I positioned the camera on the truck tailgate, aimed towards the Milky Way, and took a couple dozen photos. This 10-image composition was the result!
