This account is a lyrical eulogy platform, highlighting the lives and legacies of those who aren't here any more. You can use #speakerforthedead to bring an individual to my attention (either the fact of their passing or information relating to their story).

The poems and songs that come from this are offered freely into the world, without request for compensation or restrictions on what happens to them next, in the understanding that I am, as author, merely a conduit.

#Normalcy is dead.
Yet we have yet to bury it.
Climate would've killed it—if #covid hadn't.

Yet normalcy is dead.
Yet we have yet to bury it.
We only got so many #spoons.

We can bury ourselves or bury the dead.
We only got so many spoons.

Use them wisely.

This is a really good suggestion for the first eulogy because there's a public body of work and as a public figure there are many sources for me to research.

Nevertheless, tell me anything I should particularly spend time finding out about, highlight your favourite works and why (including how it influenced your own life or craft).
Tell me if there''s anyone to talk to directly, whether you have contact information or not.

an #introduction to this account, an alt of @anilmc

#SpeakerfortheDead is a eulogy account to venerate and celebrate the lives of people who have passed away.

These are odes to peoples' lives, the impact and legacies of actions and ideas, relationships and moments of greatness, the quiet and riot of everything that makes a person.

As author I want to shine a light on the beings who die tragically or heinously, but not to focus on the events of their death but their doings. If this doesn't happen then it wasn't meant to, and the lives of those whose deaths are not publicised are no less important.

Use the hashtag if you want to bring someone to my attention, or give information about someone I'm writing about. (Of course only give public information when posting publicly - if necessary I can create a secure channel for personal knowledge that isn't public).

The writings could be poetry or prose, spoken word or song. I don't know how long they'll take or how good they'll be but that's not really the point.

Holla if you got questions about #speakerforthedead here, feel free to follow me on main to interact with the human vessel for this project.

one love
