SPARC has created a resource to support authors in evaluating their options navigating these situations: https://sparcopen.org/our-work/guide-for-authors-complying-with-policies/

Welcome! You are invited to join a webinar: PIDs 101: Global PID Adoption Use Cases. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email about joining the webinar.

Persistent identifiers (PIDs) are important research infrastructure that enable the reliable identification of people, outputs, organizations, and funding across the scholarly ecosystem. As institutions, governments, funders, and publishers around the world increasingly integrate PIDs into workflows and policy requirements, adoption is accelerating. This webcast will showcase different PID adoption use cases across the global PID community and identify broadly applicable PID practices. This event is open to those working at academic institutions and will be recorded. We encourage participants to submit questions in advance via the registration form.

This year’s theme will reckon with that cost and catalyze action toward reclaiming control of these systems meant to serve the public interest. https://www.openaccessweek.org/
