In all the 6N excitement I do want to flag up the European Championship where (my) Belgium are taking on Roumania right now in a nicely filled Stade Charles Tondreau in Mons. It warms the heart to see the game alive at the lower levels as well.

Have we reached #RetroRetro? Where things that were deliberately, self-consciously retro are now... retro?
Some of those Flashback / Jakks Pacific / AtGames thingies are over 20 years old now. Old enough that we'll soon start hearing "Hey, my Dad had one of those!", if we aren't already.
It feels silly even to pose the question. Imagine being back in 2003 and asking "So is 1981 retro now?" :-)
For Xmas I got this "super pocket" with old ROMs installed. It seems like a common, cheap emulation handheld, but it actually has an Evercade port!
After dismissing Evercade for 5 years I got some games for it and they're actually great? PlayStation ports like Legacy of Kain run fantastic! And how cool is it to get a new physical copy of Legacy of Kain from 2024!
I'm a big fan of the gradual disappearance of "Good Riddance 20**!" posts at this time of year.
Although, naturally, less of a fan of the obvious reasons for that...
