Selena the Retro-Princess

For Xmas I got this "super pocket" with old ROMs installed. It seems like a common, cheap emulation handheld, but it actually has an Evercade port!

After dismissing Evercade for 5 years I got some games for it and they're actually great? PlayStation ports like Legacy of Kain run fantastic! And how cool is it to get a new physical copy of Legacy of Kain from 2024!

@SuperSelena64 The early stuff I heard about the Evercade wasn't too impressive but this episode of Retronauts (mainly focusing on the first Duke Nukem collection) convinced me to pick one up.

Now I have an original model, an EXP, and a VS-R.

Lots of great retro games but my favorites are the indie compilations. Really good stuff in there.

@SuperSelena64 I snapped one of those up on pre-order, and don't regret it. Basically a proper "pocket" Evercade, and if you tire of what's on the cart you've always got Bubble Bobble as a backup; win/win!
