Some say that when you die, the last thing you hear is an oddly muffled recording saying “Audible hopes you enjoyed this program!”
@alexhall This setup was the way my setup worked for a long time, then I bought a desktop and turned my old one into a servewr and stashed all my harddrives in that. Either way, mounting is super easy and you can just use NFS. Mount runs before Docker, so Docker will bind to the mounts. If that nas reboots or is down though, chaos is tough.
I feel like I'm rediscovering music. I've had decent headphones, but I've never really done the research and went in on a set. If you're also looking for a pair, I bought the Sennheiser HD 600 headphones. There are steps above, but it's not worth it for me; I got the largest transducers minus the $999 set. I'm picking up so many more nuances and sounds, so naturally B.B King's Live At the Regal and AC/DC's Back In Black were the first two albums I had to listen to.
If you're using cool web-apps like Enafore.social and JAWS, there's a cool trick to make it turn off the VPC cursor:
1. hit insert+6 with enafore.social loaded, and from the configuration manager, ctrl+shift+w.
Navigate to the misc category, and uncheck the "use virtual pc cursor" box.
Alt+f4 out and choose yes to save. I had to reload JAWS for some reason, but after that it works perfectly. Note this also applies to GMail if you use the web version, etc.
It's Friday! I'm going to try to make it a point to post good music on Fridays (or any day), but this song has been such a jam. I just bellowed along while coffee was burbling away (sorry, neighbors). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhsTee62c5c&list=RDRhsTee62c5c

@drew @ZBennoui @aka_quant_noir @janisf Things probably have to go horribly horribly wrong before they remove the ancient turtle from office. I get what you're saying though, and do totally agree. I'm at least lucky in that Colorado seems to waver a bit, and I feel like my vote matters to some extent.
@aka_quant_noir @ZBennoui @drew @janisf I want to see the result of this NYC election before I agree or disagree with you. There's enough going on in the world that I don't need to start being hyperbolic about elections. Sure, GOP needs to stop messing with election laws, but dems also need to seriously do better. The times where you can hold up the orange satan and say "vote for us or else" are clearly done.
@Ultraverified If not the outrage, social programs like Medicaid help red states much more than others. Many blue states provide extra to these programs, so they're about to do a lot of harm to their base and clearly don't care. Hope Zuck enjoys his 99th yacht, I guess?
@ZBennoui @drew @aka_quant_noir @janisf I like to hope that republicans will get voted out. Everyone is predicting a blue wave, but with our luck they'll fuck up again and it will be a blue trickle, then they'll just be like "sucks to suck, should've voted for us, we did nothing wrong."
@cursedsql @TheQuinbox Not that it takes much to find issues with the bible, but by far the most annoying for me are these huge massive churches with millions of dollars in treasure and statues. If the bible is to be believed, Jesus preached from a rock, not from a billion dollar church.
