@overcastfm After a few days I've noticed some podcasts show custom artwork going back a year, others a few months and others just a few weeks. Looking at their RSS feeds, they all have custom artwork going back to the beginning, so what determines how far back is shown in Overcast itself? Is there anything I can do to make it show all images ever, such as clearing Overcast's caches?
@avakining @overcastfm Thanks, I see it now that I removed and added back my podcast, only for the 20 most recent episodes for some reason but that's okay 🙂
@overcastfm I've updated to Overcast 2025.11.1 on my iPhone 12 mini running iOS 18.7.2 with "Larger Text" set as the Display Zoom and nothing looks different from before? I've already seen per-episode artwork for years, so where would I notice it in this new version that I didn't see it in older ones? The one place I would actually really like it would be in playlists, so that I could tell episodes of the same show apart, but I understand your reason for not enabling that.

Please excuse me addressing you all at once, but check out the foolishness that's required to organise Control Centre items when using an iPhone in horizontal mode:

@atpfm I looked for the photo of Jony Ive using a case on his iPhone and found this one https://www.nytimes.com/2024/09/21/technology/jony-ive-apple-lovefrom.html

@overcastfm Here's the second video showing the correctly sized podcast art.
@overcastfm The podcast artwork in the bottom right corner of the screen appears as a teeny tiny circle when Display Zoom on my iPhone 12 mini is set to Larger Text, when it's set to Default the podcast artwork appears at a much more reasonable size.
@atpfm @siracusa @marcoarment @caseyliss Regarding using AI for podcast related business, my co-host and I recently finished generating images for the entire back catalogue of episodes, the janky dreamlike quality fits in with the science-fiction tone of our show: https://www.testsfromthefuture.com

Tests From The Future

@atpfm @siracusa @marcoarment @caseyliss Back in the summer I started uploading my own podcast's back catalogue to YouTube at the rate of one episode a day, but because I wanted there to be a visual component I've been filming them playing on a 20-year-old iPod:

Once it caught up with the weekly schedule I started filming said iPod in different locations, it's been fun to carry it around with me.

And so here's my podcast's actual website:

Tests From The Future

Live from the 23rd century! Simon and Dirk record a weekly podcast, talking about recent technologies, discoveries and innovations. It's not aimed at people from their own time though. You see, with this podcast Simon and Dirk are trying to reach the people of the 21st century - an age in which technology was still cool and relevant. It seems to be working, but for some reason, episodes can only go back exactly 200 years. Get ready for the newest info on teleportation, robots and malfunctioning food conglomerators!
