How the Republican thugs, grifters, and crooks on the Roberts Court declared themselves victorious over expertise itself in one of the most dangerous and shamefully corrupt decisions in Supreme Court history. [gift link] https://wapo.st/3VBMZi0
Analysis | The Supreme Court gives the right a huge victory over expertise

In rejecting the decades-long practice of deferring to government agencies, the conservative court gave the right a huge win in its push to sideline experts.

New from 404 Media: we found the $50 billion payment processor Stripe is directly profiting from the trade of AI-generated non-consensual porn. Multiple sites use Stripe for payments, Stripe takes a cut every time. Ironically, while Stripe bans sex workers.

"It's surprising to hear that Stripe would tolerate what is essentially revenge porn," one expert said.

Stripe has flat out ignored our multiple requests for comment on why it is providing the financial engine that powers the trade of AI-generated non-consensual images.

Stripe Forbids Sex Work, But Profits From Non-Consensual Porn

Stripe is processing payments for sites that produce nonconsensual AI porn while denying service to actual sex workers and people in the adult entertainment industry.

I’m incredibly disappointed in #LTT after all of the discussion that has surfaced recently. Hearing #GamersNexus’ coverage was hard, especially the #BilletLabs drama, but reading Madison’s thread where she talks about assault, workplace harassment and abuse is far worse imo. @suuuoppp: To stop the speculation and DM's I am receiving. I chose to quit my role at LTT because it, and the working environment I was facing, were ruining my mental health. The number of daily items...…

Wow, this sounds really bad for mobile developers who have customers in China.

Anyone I know being severly affected by this? (Aka is China a big market for you?)

In honor of #sysadminday, I'm going to fill you in on a little secret: your IT person doesn't know everything about every piece of software and detail of your computer, we're just very good at figuring things out. Also, most things we've done elsewhere a dozen times (this week, or maybe even today) so we know exactly how to handle it.

Shoot, almost didn't realize that today was syadmin appreciation day!

Many thanks to all the sysadmins out there that keep everything running!

Update: it worked great! I hope to eventually share how I came to this solution as well as what changes I had to make to the source code to invert the logic.
Just made some cables with two resistors in-line, they should divide the voltage across the red wire and black wire (on the left) by half (on the right), while only pulling a small current (but enough for the buck converter lm2596s’ enable pin to draw from). This will save me from having to use a separate relay for toggling my 5V fans. Though I will need to tinker with #marlin firmware to invert the signals. #diy #electronics #3DPrinting #soldering #crimping #wire
