Software engineer. Tend to work on 3d spatial things (VR, graphics, some vision-y things, etc), but have done it all (more or less) at some of the big companies you know about. Married and have a cute kid. Lots of cats.

Jack RyanThe space robot I think about the most is the Parker Solar Probe, which recently came within 5.3 million miles of the Sun. It spends a lot of time in the corona, which can get to like... 2 million degrees F. Mostly doesn't feel a damn thing because its heat shield is wild.
The closest Mercury gets to the Sun is about 29 million miles. What a thrill.
Excited to hear #meta is releasing #threads with talk of full implementation of #activitypub etc. They should go all in on #fediverse and rename the whole company Feta.
