FWIW, I am not getting scolded for behavior that doesn't fit some weird unwritten ruleset over there. Something to consider.

Software engineer. Tend to work on 3d spatial things (VR, graphics, some vision-y things, etc), but have done it all (more or less) at some of the big companies you know about. Married and have a cute kid. Lots of cats.
Andy Kaplan-Myrth@Some_Emo_Chick they are transparent about this using IG accounts, and even prompt you to just follow all the same people when you first use it. This seems completely fine and above board, not sure what about this is surprising or alarming to folks.
Jack RyanThe space robot I think about the most is the Parker Solar Probe, which recently came within 5.3 million miles of the Sun. It spends a lot of time in the corona, which can get to like... 2 million degrees F. Mostly doesn't feel a damn thing because its heat shield is wild.
The closest Mercury gets to the Sun is about 29 million miles. What a thrill.
Excited to hear #meta is releasing #threads with talk of full implementation of #activitypub etc. They should go all in on #fediverse and rename the whole company Feta.
