Eugene Parnell@smallsolar Oh you're in luck. It will be easy to transplant. I've been trying for a few seasons now to transplant oak seedlings germinated in the ground (we find them in the yard after a squirrel buried an acorn) with no success. They seem to sink a deep taproot almost immediately, and if you sever it, the seedling will die. It's really hard to get the whole taproot.

Behind the kids playhouse we dumped a load of old containers, just found a cheeky oak (I think) trying to grow, moved it now to somewhere more fitting for a future ancient tree.

I haven't posted publicly about this yet (I plan to do a write-up soon) but pix.lgbt and homestead.social are built on a cluster (all on Raspberry Pis) that I built to be fully mobile (literally has a handle on it), with a solar powered battery backup, and dual mobile WANs (fully encrypted over Wireguard VPN) in case we need to flee.
We're not going anywhere!

Our local #spiders have setup home on the #aeroponic tower and seem to be keeping it all balanced, not getting as nibbled as my normal raised beds, perhaps I need to 3d print spider homes.

back online and now at 63C which is more its normal style.
solarcene.community has got too hot! the last reported CPU temp was 83C and now it isn't responding to ping, luckily I can remotely turn it off and so will try to get it back online asap. Environment temp is 29C - I wonder if something pushed the cpu load up and it just got too hot.
It's hot in the UK, currently in the ritual of closing windows/blinds to limit how much hot gets in, unfortunately houses are well insulated so while it's cool for a short period of time eventually the heat gets trapped and stays put...
