There are only two networks that haven't grown with this demographic (18-24) in the last decade:

1) #Facebook
2) #Twitter

@everywhereist @randfish I’m not sure what we are talking about here. Dark meat is always scrumptious!

I have no idea how to explain this, so I'll just come right out with it...

Today, we met the president of #Oacaxa while trying to buy @lindzie a rug. And now there are official press photos of us all together at a Zapaoteca textile maker.

Hopefully @everywhereist writes a blog post about it, because it was a ludicrous Experience. The president was a complete gentleman, though.

Okay so I haven't seen White Lotus yet but apparently one character asks if she looks like Monica Vitti, and it's a setup for a joke, and I find this deeply hilarious, because my mom has always looked like Monica Vitti. So much that it was her nickname when she was young and still living in Italy.

🤩 A marketing lesson in "How to talk about prices hikes" a LOT of SaaS should take a look at (yeah, I'm talking to you @Mailchimp)

🤗 Thanks @randfish

The market has failed. Philanthropy can't do it. The public good that is local news needs another support system. Now there's an alliance calling for public policy solutions. Rebuild Local News it is called. Their ideas:

* A tax credit for consumers to subscribe to or donate to local news
* A tax credit for small businesses to advertise in local news
* A tax credit for local news organizations to hire and retain local journalists

How public policy can help save local news

<p>It’s understandable that the idea that government should help save local media makes many journalists’ skin crawl. How can reporters get support from one of the institutions we’re supposed to be holding accountable? In this case, journalists should rethink their concerns. Ivory is out! By far and away my favorite Mastodon app.

Before @ivory, Mastodon felt like a Twitter clone that I wasn’t really “getting”, bouncing between apps and not finding any that fit me.

With Ivory, Mastodon became not only a drop-in replacement for Twitter for me, but an upgrade that’s actually so much better than Twitter that I don’t think about it at all anymore.

I immediately subscribed to the highest Ivory plan. They deserve our support!

@naught101 @dmoser this makes a bit more sense. Telling the cyclists it’s ok to take the whole lane.
