There are only two networks that haven't grown with this demographic (18-24) in the last decade:

1) #Facebook
2) #Twitter

@randfish Curious to see where Reddit will stand next year.
@analog_cafe me, too. I wish they'd included it here.

@randfish Genuinely curious, but why would Telegram and WhatsApp be on these?

I thought those are more like communication apps, like Signal, Android Messenger (or whatever it may get renamed to)

You can be social on them, but do they have profiles, hashtags, and public feeds to follow like Twitter, IG, Mastodon, etc?

@BoomlandJenkins @randfish

In some countries, you do not do anything without whatzapp. Definitely more than just messaging.

@FuckElon does that mean it has public feeds, hashtags, profiles, etc?

I understand that WhatsApp is popular for people and businesses to communicate with the other, but what else can you do on them? Last time I used WhatsApp, it was just for messaging people.

@BoomlandJenkins

They use the group features just like a social network. Think of the defunct google circles model. it has a great influence in Brasil, for instance, it is how misinformation spreads quickly there.

Although instagram is now very popular as well.

@randfish Where’s Reddit or Tumblr? Those TikTok numbers feel low.
