Just a paranoid giving up a little temporary safety for an essential liberty. Infosec.

Once again, my professional recommendation in response to the latest Linux kernel vulnerability in the news is that you should gather up all your electronic devices, cast them into the sea, and retreat to the woods.

Each night, gather your children and tell them tales of the Before Times when the hubris of humanity grew so large that we made idols of sand and spoke to them as equals. Remind them that the sand, of course, did not speak or think, but we imagined it could, and let it guide us to folly.

Should a stranger ever come to your village with a glowing rectangle, encourage the youth to beat them with sticks.

@jerry @cesarpose @RandomDamage Thank you for checking @jerry, you're the best!
@cesarpose @jerry thanks for the cross-check!
@jerry Vivaldi is the broken browserβ€” fails on infosec.exchange but works on other instances. Infosec.exchange works on the phone app on Wi-Fiβ€” so not a network/dns thing.
@jerry Does work on phone as well. Must be the new browser.

@jerry just because, I did just now switch upstream DNS just to see if it was a blocklist, same result.

39ff08bd-3259-472a-930f-647291ce9c10 is the offending blob?

@jerry javascript isn't being blocked that I'm aware of. I'll dig more. Just confusing that it's working signed into a different account/instance of Mastodon with the same browser, etc, but it doesn't work on infosec.exchange. I'm sure it's on my end somewhere if no one else has said anything.
